最近個人的に、一番面白いと思っているブログにMAKE:Magazine blogというのがあります。アメリカの季刊DIY雑誌のブログで、ThinkPadの加速度センサを利用したハックが出てくると思いきや、クレヨンを使ったクッキーやハンガーでつくった簡単Soldering arm、超バカな改造自転車をつくっていたり、スマートなものからアホなものまで、多岐にわたったハックが紹介されています。なんでもハックしてしまうアメリカ人？がほんと素敵すぎます。
こういったソフトウェアとハードウェアのどちらも生かしたおもしろハックはほんとに大好きです。

サイトの紹介文を読んでみたのですが、Make Magazine自体は、日本で言うところのムック本のようなものらしい（ちゃんと注釈つきｗ MAKE is a hybrid magazine/book (known as a mook in Japan).）です。もともとオライリーから出た(comes from)ようです。
日本だとオライリーと半田付けや電子工作はイメージ的につながらない気もするけれど、そのあたりも含めてアメリカの方がソフトウェア文化とハードウェア文化の融合が進んでいるっていうことなんでしょうか。ぐおぅ。夢が広がる。いや現実にしないと。
